In Porat, you will find everything you need for your moments of rest, from pebble and rocky beaches, a pine forest that provides shade and freshness during summer days, landscaped promenades through olive groves, and restaurants and cafes in the center for pleasant evening outings. You can walk along the coastal promenade to Malinska and along the way get to know the neighboring towns that connect the coastal promenade. If you prefer seclusion, you can also reach pristine bays on foot along well-maintained paths, or by boat. There is a monastery of Franciscans of the third order of the Glagolitic in Porat. Its history goes back at least to the 15th century. Within the monastery there is a museum that shows the rich heritage of the monastery and this region.
